The term "PC" is not exclusively used for "personal computer" in the ICT world anymore.

But anyway, I'm pretty sure I can't run it under Linux (not counting Wine, etc).

I think that Program Files (x86) is only default when using english windows xp professional x64.
I'm not completely sure though.

The Programs File X86 is just like the normal one, except it holds different things. I have it and I'm using Windows 7. Don"t worry about it, I doubt that anything will happen to it.
P.S. Apparently the internet has run out of IPv4 addresses. O_O
