Stop being so butthurt, he was picked for testing and it has nothing to do with you. This testing will benefit you and everyone else who is experiencing the same startup error, though. Apparently you are just jealous. Don't be.

What about for users who don't have an error, what if this causes an error for them now?

Then he'll try and fix that problem or have two versions, one that works for the people that don't have an error now, and one for people that do.
