I having nothing against you feeling proud, but there is a problem when you say that our criticism is worthless. |

From the blog --- Quote ---AB 2.0 Dev Update: 16th March 2011 Recently I've been making some new graphics, playing with some concepts. I've improved the home screen design, and have been working with creating a lot of shared resources for the program to cut down memory usage. I also installed a memory cleaner DLL, that cuts AfterBlocks memory usage by 99.8%. Thats right, 99.8%, thats almost 100% more efficient. It does this by regularly and seamlessly freeing memory using a DLL called CleanMem that activates between changing apps among other functions. AfterBlock now consumes less memory than task manager on my computer. Pretty damn good, huh? I've been working on a new introduction. Two people complained about lack of common GUI forms, namely text boxes. So I added a text box that fits in with the AfterBlock GUI but allows you to click it and type in details just like any other general Windows program. Its a lot nicer than opening a message box and typing in the information. And thats not the only GUI improvement. Also finished recently are minimize, shrink / enlarge, and close buttons in the top right corner, a simple addition to the window that was greatly wanted by many users who disliked the camouflage quit button in AfterBlock 1.0. Another great improvement is the increased window size. To give more room for apps on screen, the width of the AfterBlock window has been increased by 10%, making apps have a more spacious design and increasing the size and functionality of important elements such as previews for Block Factory among other uses. --- End quote --- |
