Even if you didn't use image2brick pixel art isn't that impressive to me. Unless it is original and/or large.

It looks a lot like IMG2BRICK.
Color distortion like that doesn't happen if you do it by hand.
Unless you're trying to make it look ridiculously accurate.
But then it's ugly.

i've seen lots of people build samus stuff by hand and it comes out like this...

It's called "looking off of a sprite sheet to make it as accurate as possible". Besides, Image2Brick would take the feeling of success out of completing it.
