I doubt he'd stick to the same engine Retail Blockland is currently using forever. I say that a new "Blockland" would probably be out in 5-11 years. But that doesn't mean it will.

This. The engine we've got is so that BL will run decently on old, slow computers. In another few years, there's gonna be so few of those old, slow computers around that it's gonna be more work than it's worth to stick with the massively outdated Torque that we're using- Badspot'll probably bring in somebody else to help port it to a more up-to-date engine and hand it off to that person when he's tired of it. See what's happened with Ephialtes and the RTB mods.

Badspot can upgrade and change the blockland engine as he feels fit, He doesn't need a new engine.

forget. You. If Blockland turns to any higher specs, I'm loving suing for my $20 back since I wouldn't be able to play.

Which means all add-ons will have to be ported from torque to the next engine, unless someone can make some script that will allow them to run torque on the new engine.
Prince N:
Yeah, that's true.
