A boomerang that would comeback after throwing it would be great. It would leave your player model after throwing, but keep an inventory slot taken up, so that you couldn't pick up something new on accident. It would also only return if you stayed in place, otherwise it would just fall and you'd need to pick it up again. If it hit an exterior or part of the terrain, it would just drop, not return. Players, bots, and vehicles, however, it would still return from. It would do low damage.

Just throwing and returning would probably be possible, but the rest sounds fairly difficult...

Makes it unique. I guess not all of it is necessary, but if it's like a spear that comes back that would be silly.

Possible? Sure.

It could be an item with an animation when used, to be thrown, spin around and return.

But that would not do anything, what would cause damage would be an invisible projectile fired at the same time and at the same velocity to overlap the boomerang that only lasts till when the Boomerang starts to return...

I think THAT would work...

Reminds me of the boomerang from Dead Rising for some reason.

This sounds fun. 'JUNGLE BOOMERANG TDM' where all you've got is a Boomerang and your fists.

Maybe it could come with an event 'OnBoomerangHit'?
