A jar can contain water (Which will only like blind the player for 2 seconds but wont do any damage), but it can also contain like Toxic stuff Which will cause damage and it will spread some gas in the area where it fell. the jar will look like this :

Maybe different kinds of jars for different items inside of it. OR a bunch of items that are compatible to go into the jar AKA mix the items, for you handicaps out there.
