Entertainment doesn't mean having fun anymore?

Way to oversimplify things to the point of just being ridiculous. I might as well say "Reading books is just staring at paper."

If you put a bit of thought into it, this thread is redundant
Simple answer; Ideas don't last forever, they get old and repetitive as the technology does.
Basically, until we get a full vitrual reality enviroment capable of simulating vast worlds with gaming elements all games will be the same, so get used to it.
Personally, I have fun when I'm pressing keys to get money and levels in an MMO or when I'm shooting people to win in an FPS, just because you don't doesn't mean that gaming as a whole isn't fun any more.

well even though the cod games and battlefield and rpgs and all of that stuff is repetitive, i keep having fun
i have enough games to get bored of one and go play the other, then vice versa

Pretty much that.
The fun is the situation, Not how you control it.
WOLFPACK2:
i will have to agree, most fps games just feel the same and it ain't fun
