For some building takes a while to get the hang of it. Some people learn quickly. At first, imitation may work. Try having a look at builds with a critical eye, keep asking yourself "what looks good in this build?" "which bits would I have done differently?".

Don't be afraid to experiment with ideas that you may be uncomfortable with. You don't have to finish any of your builds, you can make as many "sketch" builds as you like.

The main thing is: don't think of a build as a chore. If you are bored with one of your project, put it away and do something else. Who knows, you may learn a lot more from your later stuff and when you revisit something you will probably get ideas of doing something more quickly.

Use ramp bricks much more. Dont use 1x_x5's a lot unless it's needed.
