@Zeitgeist in this topic: you won't get anyone to consider your movement if ally you do is say "You don't understand it" and tell us to watch 3 long videos instead of explaining it yourself. Do you not understand it enough yourself? As far as I can see all the OP knows about it is that it can solve poverty. He hasn't stated anything about HOW that is going to happen. Instead he refers to some videos because he is not intellectual enough to put it into his own words.

I agree with almost every part of this statement, except I think the current system is only exaggerated by revolutionary demagogues to make it seem worse than it really is.
Yes, the media can undoubtedly blow things out of proportion, but the current day system needs to finish developing. Trial and error is what's happening here.

I wish this could happen, but it never will, people are too greedy.

Exactly how I felt about Thar, except I'm sure Wizard could explain it well, just doesn't bother to and expects that these videos will automatically convert us.

This

Nope, still not convinced even though I have watched the videos.

As if you're not greedy.

The biggest problem is that I keep hearing about a system being "corrupt". Newsflash: An inanimate thing cannot be "corrupt" or devoid of ethics. The problem is not a system, the problem is people. You can't fix the world by installing a new system, the same that you can't end war by taking away guns.

The people in control and participating in the system are partially corrupt. :D

Happy Dr HL?

I can't believe I forgot to say this.

A system could have the perfect structure, yet be corrupted by a couple bad leaders. This has happened to just about every single system ever established.

This is here as a resource, I'm not going to paraphrase this for you.

What first inspired you to be a "part" of this movement?

One instance is Stalin's USSR.

Anyways, I would rather not go through another one of these topics...

The problem with the first Zeitgeist thread is that that's exactly what Thar tried to do, and the way he did so was misleading. Wizzeh and I together built the OP, and we aimed to avoid saying anything that might be misleading to avoid a repeat of the last thread. If you want to be informed about the movement, watch the videos. If you don't care enough to watch the videos, don't, but don't complain in this thread that we aren't spoon-feeding you. You don't have to post here or read this thread or watch the videos, we aren't forcing you to.

Way to be emotional about your movement.
