Smaller communities are easier to get unwanted attention. Therefore it would be difficult to be an idiot unnoticed. They are either dealt with quickly or they keep it in. Larger communities are too overpopulated to get much attention at all. You could be as much of an idiot as you want and you'll never take spotlight. Maybe 0.1% of the community will be affected by their idiocy. However, this makes it much harder for the much more matured, active, and contributing members to get the praise they deserve. Blockland sits in the middle of this. It's not too small to bring fear or comfort and not too big to bring unintended stealth. Drama will very likely be dead or filled with so many unnoticed or inactive topics a day when it becomes more active and maybe, just maybe, drama whores might start judging Blockland forums as a whole and not just the drama section. Every person who has something severely negative to say about the forums likely have a majority of their posts in off-topic or drama. What a coincidence. Hookhands has most of his posts in drama. Blockland is not as bad as you make it out to be. If you don't like all the negativity, then stay in the appropriate sections. |
