Can't connect to multiplayer games in AoE3 :C

Almost all of the multiplayer games I try to join fail to connect, only a few games hosted from certain players allow me to connect, mainly German or games in Canadian games.
It isn't my router, we plugged directly into the modem with the same result.

OT: Try using an external program like gameranger and see if that works. Or try checking your modem/firewall to see if it's being blocked.

also if it means anything, i can join all games hosted by a person no matter what, but it's only a few people

You don't want to play AoE3.
AoE2 is much better. AoE3 is basically a pile of stuff.
