TF2 downloading map problem

When I join a server, it loads a bit then it says "-mapname- missing, disconnecting"
Isn't the point of the loading to download the .bsp.bs2 or whatever and the rest of the stuff needed?
What's happening? It's clearly not a bug, but is there an easier way around it?

I have this problem with Synergy at times... sometimes it'll download the map, sometimes it won't

Oh, this is off-topic, but just now I traded earbuds for the fireman hat, the brainslug, and the silent earplugs or whatever.
Is that a good trade? :o
Did I get ripped off? I can't tell the values of these things except for a lot of people want earbuds and brainslug is 100.

Whenever Tf2 is loading and I see ".bs2" I instantly disconnect because it just takes SO LONG.
Go to servers that are default maybe? :l

You got ripped off, but not too badly. It usually goes for 4 hats. Atleast it wasn't the Max's Severed Head.

Oh, who cares. I've wanted the Tribo for a while. :P Plus, he offered five and I told him to remove bill's hat. (dunno why)
Some servers work that aren't default, but most won't work. :c
I hope I can get earbuds back, they were pretty cool. How do you get them anyway? Do you install it on mac, buy it on mac, or just play on the mac?
Maybe I could glitch it to get a new one >:)
