Your wooden pick also broke, but you now have a stone replacement.

And it's night.

You spent your time mining while night passed, and found more coal and 5 iron, which you promptly smelted, along with making a few more torches.
You also made a stone sword and went outside, finding a bone, some arrows and successfuly killing a creeper, yeilding 1 gunpower to you.

What now?

Hunt down a few fluffy critters, and make a crude bed, and bedroom.

Expand your small home, and make a simple shack to use for storage.

Check the time, and settle in bed. Later, move the bedroom underground, so you're out of any hostile monster radius.
