I need a place to brag so this'll do just fine.
I started my diet on February 1st. I weighted 242lb.
I've only allowed myself 1,400 calories a day.
Every calorie I've put into my mouth I've cataloged to the best of my ability.
If I went out to eat or ate food my grandmother cooked I'd make an estimate, usually severely over-gauging it on purpose to ensure there is no overindulgence.
At the very start of the month my grandmother took me out to lunch at Taco Bell and I
completely underestimated how many calories were in its food.
I reprimanded myself by taking the excess off the next day.

There were no other instances of going over the "ideal" limit of 1,400 calories a day. Aside from this one one instance, I never went over or even near the 2,000 hard-max.
End-Month Statistics
At the start of this new month, I weighed in at 229.5lb. That's over 10 pounds lost in 28 days.
And it's all thanks to a little excel worksheet.

Ready.. set.. and... Ridicule!
