Alright, I think we really need to each say why we like the show. Recently everyone's been doing off-topic arguments and server advertisements.

I like the show for many reasons. First, the humor. It's funny at times, and it's really fun to watch when you have comedy relief every once and a while.

Second, the backstories. The show leaves many things unexplained that could be turned into great stories, hence all the creative fan media. The castle ruins that the mane cast wander into to get the Elements of Harmony? How did it fall into ruin? And all the background characters that could turn into having detailed background stories. Like Derpy and DJ Pon-3.

The action. It's hard to find a cartoon targeted at children that has frequent monster attacks and fights. (Though to be honest, I don't really like shows because of this quality)

The fourth-wall breaking. Remember Dragonshy, episode 7? When Rainbow Dash was frightened, she made a goat noise and fell over stiff. That's a reference to the fainting goat videos, which got a chuckle out of me.

Fifth, the community. I love listening to the great songs inspired by this show. The artwork is beautiful and the macros are useful and funny. I'm going to give another shot at drawing soon, because of all the tutorials available make it easy.

And that is why I like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Why do you? If you don't, don't answer.

I like the humor, the animation, the characters, the plotlines, and even some of the music. Also because its so vibrant and colourful, I haven't seen a cartoon so smooth and beautiful in ages.

The community I praise for their great artwork, stories, interactive things (desktop ponies), the music, and even the YTPs and they are really synced well.

The action makes it alot better aswell, if Lauren faust wasn't called up for the new series then it would be another pile of girly muck. Instead we have great adventures and the show always seems enjoyable to watch.

I also find the jokes set for older audiences. "I guess the punch must be Spiked! -giggle-" i suspect more are going to be put in season 2.

The show I also find to be suitable for everyone to watch, heck we have guys in their 30s watching this without being forced by their wives to spend time with thier kids.

Why is everyone joining tikitai's? He can't even properly configure his networking.

I like My Little Pony due to the fact that it seems to make me feel like a better person. I don't want to go around slitting everybody's throats.

It seems to make me feel calmer. The fanfics and pictures that come out of this show are quite inspiring, it allows even more questions to be answered which could branch off into even more types of questions.

The music, almost all of it is great. Even the fan-made/edited songs. I especially like the 8-bit Art of the Dress, made by RainbowCrash88 on youtube.

There're more reasons, but at the moment, I can't think of them right now.

I could care less about servers. Tom, can you post why you like this show?

Tom

Because it's fun to watch.

I hate my little pony because people act like Jesus himself watches it. It tries to teach you "life should be fair for EVERYONE!" in REALITY, almost nothing is fair.

I like people like you. "Something is bad, lets keep it that way". My Little Pony is actually one of the more refreshing shows because it teaches a moral hard to find: accepting failure.

It never says everything is fair.

people shouldn't need shows to know how to accept failure. You realise. this show is just another grab for money. After this pony "era" is over, they will just end it and in a year, they will make a new series.

I know that. But some children don't. This is one of the only shows that teaches one of life's most important lessons. Most kids shows always end with "happily ever after". This one doesn't.
