XP is fine bro.
Doesn't eat as much RAM up as Vista or 7 and if you want to play a game that won't work, run it in compmode.

What the point in having a bunch of RAM if you don't want anything to use it? Trust me, you want the OS to use more RAM.
And Windows 7 has compatibility mode.
