Steam: Recommend me some games!

I'm bound to get more games from Steam, definitely those made by Valve, but the main one I was looking for was Gmod. Now I know I have to choose between TF2 or CS:S, I don't want to get the Orange Box because I already bought that for PS3... Yeah don't laugh.
TF2 or CS:S?
I like TF2's art style and everything, but all these new updates made the game look silly. (Yes, cartoony art style, but quiet you >:V)
And CS:S Seems pretty cool, some cool looking mods, but will I get bored of the multilayer?
Plus recommend me some other good games, you help is appreciated!

I have not bought either, but chances are you're going to get told cs:s because of the more popular models.

IMO; neither of them is fun or entertaining anymore
