First of all, datablocks are preloaded on a server and are simply the blocks of data needed for, for example, playertypes.
When you spawn bots, there aren't any more datablocks all of sudden because it uses a playertype, not one full datablock.
Playertypes use one datablock, all playertypes of one type togheter that is.
(If you change the datablock of a playertype, everyone with that playertype will have his playertype changed to what you changed it too, like, you increased the speed in the datablock, everyone gets this speed who has that specific playertype)
Second of all, the range spawning of ZAPT ensures you don't have a zombie walking somewhere far from you.
This improves the performance.
If the director would steer every spawn instead of only the closeby ones, you would have a big performance issue.

I have a suggestion for a new gamemode type in V3:

Survival: Mobs spawn a few zombies at the start then generating more later on, Rounds can be set to a max of 99 and their is no respawn, There can also be a setting for how many zombies will spawn at the start of the round and the max.

I'd also like a setting for enabling/disabling zombies from breaking down the walls.

Iban, why do you hold the belief that all people complaining about the director are convinced that it is a sentient, self-aware, malevolent AI? I have known from the start that it is just a bunch of simple algorithms that have been personified purely for fun, and all I am asking is that you make it so that there is a preference you can use to decide weather these  spawning algorithms are in play or not.
