You got it backwards, and wrong. Black is the absence of color, since color is the reflection of light, and black exists only with no light. White is all the colors. It's not in painting, it's science. In painting, if you mix a bunch of colors, you get brown.

It's not rumors.
Its just how nintendo made these games, and usually they follow the pattern.
If anything we should see a R/S remake before Gray is announced.
