Can you paint them? Why i am asking this is because all the pictures are red and i dont see a single brick in this topic with a color other than red

Yes, you can paint them, the white lines stay white no matter what color you paint it, every other part is paintable

I got an idea to make this even better. 1x(X)x5 bricks with the brick pattern on it so we don't have to place a stuffload of 1x1 or 1x2 bricks everywhere.

Can you possibly show me a reference image or something like that? I dont quite get what you mean
