Civilization 5 er, thing

I was trying to get an account on the steam forums to ask this, but they seem very badly set up and rather annoying, so I thought I would ask this here.
I was trying to get mods for my civ. 5, and I know there is an in-game mod manager, I have seen it on my friends computer, but it doesn't exist on my game. I have a mac and this is just bugging me. Anyone care to help?
