Registering a CD key to download it from EA?

There is a file in your registry that keeps track of most games that require keys. look there using reg edit.

What if I haven't played the game for 6+ years?

I know that BF2142 Deluxe is tied to your account after you register it, so it should be available in the EA Download Manager. They give you your key there.
Awasp:
As long as you havent switched computrers it should be there. Not sure about if it stays after uninstalling.
