I saw the tech demo a while ago. I feel like this will be the next spore; it will come out but not be anything like the videos.
That is if it comes out at all.

Nah, with Spore it was in it's earlier stages when we liked it. From Dust seems to be later along in it's development allowing for less dramatic changes to be made.
Just a theory.
