Author Topic: Entire Off-Topic forum now requires key? (Read 3283 times)

So glad I have a key. Can't keep the Rughugger down. I was kind of shocked that this happened, so I had to look for my file list of reg codes on my saved discs. I should really transfer that file to my PC if I ever want to install a game on here. It's going to be a while before my PC is up and running again.

Personally, I think the off topic section of the forum should be free to post in. Locking the general population out of it, removes a lot of diversity from the forum.

This isn't a general gaming community, it's a forum made for Blockland. Considering this I don't think it's unfair to lock the forum to people who have not ponied up.

I think Joekirk has a small argument, this forum is pretty active about things unrelated to Blockland so I'm a little hesitant to say it isn't a general gaming community in some way.

However, I still think it's great that you have to provide a key now in order to post in any of the active parts of the forums. If it gets rid of several disruptive members of the community, it's worth it. There are plenty of Blocklanders to keep off topic active.

I think they should just plain straight make the entire forums key-required. It'll kill off the nooblets that migrate here to troll and stuff.

Everything but the Help section is off-limits unless you have a key.
