It's a crappy new gimmick designed to make you throw away your old DS and all of your games and buy a new one with a bullstuffty 3D feature whose very visibility requires holding the 3DS ever so specifically in relation to your eyes. No thank you. Someone gimme a Gameboy.

because its more than just a new gimmick
it has backwards compatibility to prove your throw away point wrong
to prove your "very visibility" theory wrong, you can turn it off if you don't like it and still enjoy the goddamn game

We've explained tens of times over how they didn't just slap 3D into a DSi. The system itself has major improvements over the others. Stop being a dumbass for just seeing their commercials on the 3D.
I have to admit, it was loving handicapped to mainly advertise the 3D. It makes people hate on it thinking that's the only new thing when it has so much more.

They did the same for all the other versions (other that 3DS).
