I can see the position you're in and it's a fair enough point, I just am not entirely happy with the situation as a whole. |

This is pretty standard for anyone else who has promoted failed add-ons, it's not a special case for you. --- End quote --- Tell me if I got it right; you banned IcyGamma/Sheath from uploading to the RTB downloads service because he distributed failed add-ons on his own website? |

What I am saying is, I can understand you can't go against Badspot's view on how those add-ons should be handled, but why get involved at all? Remove the content from your distribution system, that is completely reasonable. But by going the extra mile and extending your moderation of these files beyond RTB or the forum shows that you must have more interest than just keeping level with Badspot. Nobody puts extra effort into addressing something that isn't on their agenda. --- Quote from: Pentium on March 30, 2011, 06:54:24 AM ---Tell me if I got it right; you banned IcyGamma/Sheath from uploading to the RTB downloads service because he distributed failed add-ons on his own website? --- End quote --- This is correct. I did not post the link on the RTB or Blockland forums, it was entirely external. Although, Winbin was a website designed to challenge RTB's philosophy. It was a protest if you like. |

It's just a precautionary measure. I don't really have much of an interest in preventing the spread of failed add-ons beyond RTB or these forums, the only implications are probably more help topics/support emails about broken installs which I'm not too fussed about as I'm not obligated to deal with them. |

He shouldn't be punished for something that isn't part of your service. |
