--- Quote from: Wynd_Fox on April 17, 2011, 01:45:52 AM ---Isn't a regime a government? Do you mean a workout regiment? --- End quote --- No she actually means a workout government. Yes, silly. |

Reminded me of Oblivion's Grey Prince. |

--- Quote from: Stocking on April 17, 2011, 01:42:25 AM ---Well of course not everyone who commits crime is a spawn of Satan, and most of our criminals receive help when it's available. I don't see what kind of point you're making here other than complaining about society in general. --- End quote --- No, they don't. I'm serious, watch Lockup: Raw. It's a great show and shows you what happens to our prisoners. --- Quote from: Stocking on April 17, 2011, 01:42:25 AM ---You have skewed and extremely pessimistic view on life to the point where you'd mutilate your genitals to cope with your own shortcomings, yet you believe most everyone is capable of redemption. --- End quote --- Through our conversations alone you should have the logic I've given you behind my reasoning. This is not the place to do so. The only person I do not believe is capable of redemption is myself. I have taken a life that anyone could have used to achieve greatness and squandered it. I don't deserve the same respect I'd give anyone else. --- Quote from: Stocking on April 17, 2011, 01:42:25 AM ---It's a lot of talk. You say you respect everyone right before you spew a load of egotistic bullstuff about how everyone is equal except the particular object of your aggression, and then you flaunt about with an air of superiority. --- End quote --- You're skewering things to your advantage. --- Quote from: Stocking on April 17, 2011, 01:42:25 AM ---You moved to another region in the same country at the age of seven or eight, and the culture shock was so bad that you are unable to make any kind of meaningful relationship with anyone? A lot of people grew up with irritable or semi-abusive parents, and to use that as an excuse for being judgmental and unwilling to make friends is insulting to the people who surmounted a poor upbringing and succeeded in life. --- End quote --- I think I went over this with you. When I moved to Florida, my mother put me in a Baptist private school because they were rated so highly in the academic areas. However, the teachers beat me for indirect disobedience and the children harassed me for liking Pokemon. They thought I was a pagan or something. I went through the 2nd grade dejected and alone. In the third grade, I simply did not socialize. It was more than "Oh no, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore. Sad face." I felt ashamed of myself. I do not know why I am telling you this, however. Every time I reveal personal information to you, you batter its' contents and meanings and use it against me. --- Quote from: Stocking on April 17, 2011, 01:42:25 AM ---It's the kind of world we do live in, and holding people to the standards of an imaginary utopia isn't only blindly idealistic, it's handicapped. --- End quote --- Be nice to people. Help out with some charities. Give money. Respect those with troubled lives, and do not dub them irredeemable human scum. I'm not asking much. Half of this, I'm pretty sure is in the most printed book in the world. These aren't new ideas. I simply ask people to not try and make the lives of those around them more difficult than what it has to be, and maybe even go out and try to make them better. That's it. How am I being unreasonable? Are these ideas really so caustic to you? |

Through our conversations alone you should have the logic I've given you behind my reasoning. This is not the place to do so. --- End quote --- Reality TV is generally not the basis of a good argument about actual reality. --- Quote from: Iban on April 17, 2011, 01:55:39 AM ---The only person I do not believe is capable of redemption is myself. I have taken a life that anyone could have used to achieve greatness and squandered it. I don't deserve the same respect I'd give anyone else. --- End quote --- Wallow in self-pity all you want, you're not the first person to believe that self-improvement is an impossible task. --- Quote from: Iban on April 17, 2011, 01:55:39 AM ---I think I went over this with you. I felt ashamed of myself. --- End quote --- Nearly all great people who lived before the '50s lived a life under corporal punishment, that's not an excuse for anything. And being teased for liking pokemon was the only reason you shunned in school? Not because you alienate everyone that tries to be friends with you? --- Quote from: Iban on April 17, 2011, 01:55:39 AM ---I do not know why I am telling you this, however. Every time I reveal personal information to you, you batter its' contents and meanings and use it against me. --- End quote --- If there's a pill for chronic persecution complex, you need several prescriptions. Up until this point I've never, ever, insulted you or have done anything to cause you harm. You drive people to hate you because you're not a likable person, and you're unwilling to let anyone believe otherwise. --- Quote from: Iban on April 17, 2011, 01:55:39 AM ---Be nice to people. How am I being unreasonable? Are these ideas really so caustic to you? --- End quote --- No, you were just ranting on how you believe it's society's job to make everyone equal despite the fact that society has never viewed all people as completely equal. I never claimed it unreasonable to donate to charity or to act with courtesy, but I do think it's unintelligent how you assume people are capable of never lying and whatever other unfeasible expectations you have for human beings. |
