What? LAN means they're on the same network. That normally means in the same house.

She's going to have to buy her own key to play online with you - she is not on your network (assuming "some distance from me" means she's not in your house) and key sharing could result in your key being deactivated.

I don't know what the others in this thread are talking about. Ignore the idiots telling you Hamachi would work.

I use this allot or my minecraft servers.
What I think it does is it allows you to connect to each others IP with out port forwarding.
So this has no use hosting Bl servers.

It works fine for BL server hosting. But that's not what this is about.


The only way around this is key sharing, which is not a good idea. Either that or getting her to come to your house and see for herself. Other than those two, you have to buy a key.
