While taunting you're a big blinking target. You can't move or anything. And it doesn't heal the Medic himself, last I checked.

This is the whole point of Versus; to see how long it takes for a team to lose. I myself don't even enjoy it unless there's a full eight people with mics that are fun to play with.
Besides, Campaign is still fun (with four people with mics :\).
