CS 1.6 Won't Run on Aunt's Computer

It can run quake 3, but Cs 1.6 never loads the menu, and it's based off the quake 1 engine.

it's not the beta version of source, they only started referring to their heavily modified version of the quake engine as GoldSrc once source was being released and talked about at e3 2003 and the name stuck


it was not a beta, what are you talking about? it's two different engines it's just the source engine is based on the same code
