Headset audio plugin won't work.

my headset audio plugin won't work, no matter if i plug it in in the back, or if I plug it in in the front. i have to bend the cord or rotate the jack to get it to work, but that rotation never stays, it's annoying. i don't know if it has something to do with the headset or something like that.
