Is gameboy emulation okay?

Wynd_Fox:

It's only legal if you rip the game yourself. I think. It may be illegal no matter what.

Telly:

I don't care if it's "okay" to use emulators, I just use them anyway.  Mainly it's for games that I don't have, but if I like them enough, I buy them.  Conker's Bad Fur Day is one example.  I'm not suggesting that you do it.  If you feel bad about it, then don't.  I'm just saying that I don't personally have a problem with it.

I assume you don't care if you get banned either?

LOL!  I do care.  I think I'd only get banned if I actually posted links to emulators and roms, though.  I should be okay as long as I don't tell people to pirate games and download roms/emulators.  I'm just saying I don't have a problem with it.

Rules clearly state that discussing emulators is fine

You illegally steal a loaf of bread from a store. Eat half of it, and later decide to purchase it.
You think you'll just walk out of there without a problem?

You forgeted up on your example
In this case, the emulator would be equal to a food sample at a store
They give you the food sample, so you can tell whether or not you want to buy that type of food
Tyler66 is doing the same thing.
