No, it's an automatic email that you get if Gabe's out. But there's a good chance Flying Ace is lying and he never sent any email to Gabe, because someone posted that same thing on the Facepunch Potato ARG thread.

I really hate Valve right now since they keep shovelling out such bullstuff related to TF2 and hats.
I used to like that game. It's barely a game now.

No I emailed him... asking for help cause us guys on the IRC are kinda stuck, but someone on the IRC stated they were going to post it on facepunch after I posted the image
and another thing, I don't ever lie about gaming news unless I was miss informed, but I take gaming seriously and been trying to help get clues all day
