1000+ Hour Players w/o many items in TF2?

According to Steam, i've played for 381 hours, i find several weapons, but only on rare occasions do i find a hat, i sometimes find a paint can, every now and then i may find a crate or a description/name tag
I've only bought one hat from the Mann Co. Store which was the Mining Light because i had some money left over at the time, i only buy keys otherwise, because i'm too curious to trade away a crate, unless it's a crate full of paint

Hmmm! I guess I shouldn't worry about looking like a newbie starting TF2 (on PC) late.
