SSBB Subspace: getting peach and zelda freed at same time?

My overwhelming curiosity has lead to the creation of this topic.
If you do not know what I am talking about, in Super Smash Bros Brawl, there is a part where you have a choice to save either Peach or Zelda, by hitting their cages. If you hit the boss rather than a cage, both HP bars go down. Now what I'd like to know is what happens if you never hit a cage? It's somewhat hard to google this, but if you can, or if you've seen a video of it, please post it.

I've always wondered that myself. I'm gonna try it eventually.

I've tried this but I keep accidently hitting the cage. Someone told me that if you succeed in it, Zelda's cage is broken. I'm pretty sure you can't get both.

You can only get one, that is how it was designed.
You eventually get them both later in the "story".
