But then he would have to buy the game again, it would be a little odd if he would have to get banned for saying that he is going to leave the forums, it's like not being allowed to say "Bye" to someone when you leave his house.
Telling people that he's going to leave the forums shouldn't cost you $20 that's all I can say.

Banning these people forces them to be honest. They're allowed to say "bye," but only when they're leaving. They could also mention it over a messenger or something and nobody who didn't care would ever know.
