In vanilla Blockland, the studs were LEGO prints and the mini-figure was also a LEGO model.
The studs/player was changed before Retail was released, no suing commenced.

The studs also read "blocko", not to mention that Badspot wasn't even selling the game at that point. So, no harm was done.

IT'S NOT LIKE THERE'S A NEW POLISHED RETAIL BLOCKLAND SO THEY WOULDN'T BE ON THAT!
