It is proven that it is.  If you can think of something in our known universe that isn't made out of matter, then you have shattered the foundation of all scientific thought.

when jesus was say "My god, my god, why have you forsaken me" he was quoting a psalm that was predicted that he was going to die on the cross. he did this to try and get the romans/jews to see that he was really the son of god, but that was to no success obviously
