No matter if it's a marquee or anything else, stats shouldn't be in the header. And making it a marquee makes it even worse. It's a bad concept, but this is the worst implementation of it I have seen in a very long while.
Also, you have two objects with the same id, use a class for that.

I don't watch the news on the TV, I check them on the internet.

I looked at it and I thought it looked nice and professional like.
Does anyone else agree with him?

Anyway, the links in the boxes melt in too much with the background, you should make them like the box headers, but a bit lighter.
EDIT: The marquee looks a bit better now, although I think you should have it between the navbar and the boxes, instead of in the bottom of the navbar.
EDIT 2: Ugly again, or even worse.
