i've seen less contentious communities thoughwhat about them
This is where the age of the members comes into play. Most of the people on this forum are teens, a time in life where you become more aggressive as your body begins to change. This along side the ability to remain anonymous, leads to a very angry bunch of people.
I'm nice c: Actually, I haven't gotten mad at someone here in months...
this forum is full of short-fused grumpy malesit's entertaining, reallyseeing all these people argue over the dumbest of stuff
I agree with Op. I never see this many negative and just plain mean comments in real life. So what makes it ok to do it online? :/
People are naturally more aggressive on the internet, because it allows them to talk via an alias. There are no real social consequences to actions taken here. Whereas in real life, you wouldn't insult your boss to his face for fear of losing your job, if you were to run into him on the internet, and were using an alias, you would happily call some an starfish, because he can't tell it was you who did so.“We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.”
that's ...because you're carolcat and carolcat is nice.
