No. His point was that the game has glitches it didn't have. Updates have given visual errors, I've heard of. He wasn't relating the exact same problem to them all.

Maybe try one save earlier. Portal 2 autosaves a lot so you shouldn't have to worry about losing too much.

It doesn't save enough.
I accidentally didn't save on my own, and I got pushed back about 6-8 levels backwards ;_;

I have the saves, I saved beofre I stopped playing last night, and none of the saves work either.
Co-op Doesn't work either. IT crashed right after it finishes loading the level.
