ShadowZero:
People.

Just use skype.

The version of TGE Badspot has doesn't support direct stream audio input, he'd have to edit that into the source code somehow.

Why hasn't anyone thought of this?

Party Chat.

X Box has this. Why not us? Just listen to people in your party and that's it. Besides. What are the chances of a six year old having a computer microphone?

I love it when people listen to me. Honestly though, that would be a joke, and people would just abuse it with spam (as scene in the Moonbase Alpha video).
As far as normal voice chat goes, Badspot doesn't need to go through all the trouble when as others have already said, you can just use Skype.

No. That would be even more pain and drama with people wanting to be in parties and whatever... anyways parties are a bad idea as it restricts communication within the server. Also, the chances of a six year old having a mic are very great, as proven by Call of Duty.

I believe that voice chat was added at some version, but if Badspot updated it would require a lot of work.Do you know him in person?
No.
Don't call him Eric.

Are you just making it up? cause Torque can handle it just he chooses not to put it in.
