Shorter guns is not the issue. The hands shouldn't even have to stretch left or right, far or closer.

You are talking about visual and realism.

How is pressing the trigger with a thumb either visually or realisticly good?

You seem to forget this is a game about plastic toy minifgures. Don't question me about stuff being realistic here.
