I wonder what the actual conversion of coins in Terraria to dollars is.
Considering what kind of stuff you buy with certain amounts, I would consider many things worth 1 gold to be about $50, so maybe a silver coin is 50 cents, copper coins are half pennies, and platinum coins are $5,000.
