I assume it's like this:
1. He schedules times for us all.
2. We go to his server at that time alone.
3. He gives us all same task to complete using only that eval.
4. Whoever did it best, wins.

1. Your score based on the ladder part of the competition gives you a handicap for your opponents and yourself.
2. You both have that handicapped calculated time to complete a task with eval.
3. The first person to complete it wins.
4. The winner faces the next opponent, and the loser is knocked out of the running.
