I might be able to film too if I can make it to the contest.

Do any of you guys have beef with DrenDran testing out the eval war concepts? Or should I get someone outside the contest to do it?

There won't really be any benefits, it will depend on who you're up against if I work out the balancing right.

I think you should get someone outside the contest.

Alright. I played around with the eval wars idea. It turned out terribly harder to make balanced then I thought. So scrap that idea.

Here's what I thought would be extremely fun and also deserving of the final reward.
You have 10 days to make the coolest terrain generator you can. The main requirements are:
  • Smooth terrain
  • Different types of blocks placed
  • One (optionally more) of the following: trees, rivers, caves, ore veining, erosion

You can add whatever you want to make yours awesome, go wild (corny joke hehehe). If you don't know where to start consult my perlin noise script. It's fine to use it, seeing as by itself all it will get you is generic hills.

Your terrain generator will be rated based on the final product by pecon and myself. People who already have points on the scoreboard will be given a bonus to their final score. The person with the highest score of all contestants wins the competition and the amount of money pecon (I think it was ~$10 - $15) wants to give out.

Have fun. The final round ends at 6:00pm 15/08/11 GMT+10.

Thank god, I hate using eval

Even though this is just as difficult....

That challenge reminds me of your mod where it generated terrain, had flowing water/lava, caves, crafting, and a bunch of other stuff like that. Are you still working on it?

Nope.

This seems worthy of the $15 prize.

Also I cannot wait to judge these ones...

I think that a win this round should be worth two points.

Because new people joined this round, it has to be a ratings system. Otherwise it would be impossible for anyone on 0 points to beat Red Guy.

Can we get extra credit for sumbitting early?

Probably a dumb question, just hopeful.
