| Who here agrees private add-ons are a bad idea? |

I personally think that private add-ons were bad ideas to start with. Why make an add-on you only give to 2 people? You might as well release it public, you make more people happy and you can see your add-on in more servers. It's like making your very own kind of drink, but then never selling it to stores. It makes no sense... |

I use private add-ons, because it makes your server unique. For example, if you want to go to a City RP, then you wouldn't go to the makers, but to someone elses. This can be a good thing, but for the creator you will be missing out on people. They're also useful if someone steals a build, because they cant use it without the private add-on. I also have some that are abusable. If it got around to some servers, the admins may not be able to keep control. However I trust that I will be able to. |

Maybe if people didn't forget up the public add on so many times it would be fine. They always want their own version, or make a server that clearly abuses that mod in every way. That and your server will get much more popularity if you have an add on no one else can get. |
