Who here agrees private add-ons are a bad idea?

What we used to do (if the mod was a vehicle/weapon) was go to the server that had the addon, download the dts - then simply make the script ourselves. Took a bit of work, but it was good fun.

I don't release any of my stuff because the public don't deserve it. Just look at all the drama in my SVD thread.

I'm doing that now with the old files that I used to download when going to one ;D


Because when we did download them, I didn't know how to script/model.

When you release an add-on publicly it generally needs to be kept to a higher standard than if you just gave it to some of your friends. Also if a bug pops up you're much more responsible for fixing it.

Using an excuse such as the public doesn't deserve it sounds like BS to me.
