Stocking versus Taboo (and Everyone Else)
captain blue:
--- Quote ---I grew up in Minnesota. Washburn High school, then Fort Snelling Academy, Then Cloquet High.
Not that good looking, not that cool. I hate going to school, i hate my family.
My first job was being a cashier at a small grocery store. I was 15.
That summer the parents got our first family computer. I thought it was about 5 years overdue, but there you have it.
First real serious girlfriend was ******, She was amazing. I dont have the time to write about her, but my life changed then. We had many ideas about what to do on the internet. Ways to make money. Ways to not need our families.
She was 16 when she left suburb Philadelphia.
Ran away to Minnesota so to hide from her dad, was tired of getting raped by him. I finally met her face to face.
She lived at the YMCA/Library that summer, while we played on the library computers all the time.
We found 2 guys named Asp and D*** on the net from a site i wont name.
We learned from them how to get free things from a warehouse, by pretending to be a large business, we got monthly "samples" of products to give away/use as display promotions.
This warehouse deal is apparently called a distributor. They are middle-men merchandise handlers that work with the factories of products.
Well we got more doubles of free stuff then we needed/wanted. So the next clear step is to pawn off the junk.
6 local pawn shops began refusing us after about 2 months. Was fishy that a few kids had so much brand new expensive things at a ready supply. Must be hot.
Enter; eBay.
It is not hard to sell cheap if you pay a zero wholesale price.
Soon the demand for our items was past our supply, and we could not up our free samples anymore.
We began selling the emails of all our previous buyers to advertisers.
My girl ****** got into a car accident and fell into a coma...
Asp and D*** moved to MN to assist our work further.
Friends L**** and Jimmy join our little business.
I turned 18, and had to dump her that June. She wont know until/if she ever wakes up.
How could she do this to me... I have to go forward with our ideas, and shes not even going to be here with me to help.

but its my entire life lol.
very rarely do i bring my real life stuff into the forums. im pretty discreet about it. to avoid people claiming such things like this. i dont need to draw from real life to brag in a small community online.

I challenge that. i spend half my life in front of a screen, almost none of it on games (If you were going to say I'm addicted).
And you basically admit you brag without anything to actually brag about.
Self-inflated ego. That's pretty crazy.

Riiight. And I'm the admin of the eastern seaboard Facebook server, and I also invented the affordable rocket ship for consumers.
--- Quote from: Iban on May 29, 2011, 07:22:32 PM ---You say you're low by your own admission, then?

I never said anything about me being low, I said that you would be lower than me by your logic of real life status affecting forum status.
--- Quote from: Iban on May 29, 2011, 07:24:19 PM ---Hey, I never said it's a bad thing. He's finally learned his place.

Plus, you're comparing a 15 year old (a minor, since you seem to skim posts a lot) to an 18+ adult who is capable of working full time.
By your age, I could probably be working a part time job, going through college, and all the while not begging for attention by crying to women on the internet about how I should chemically castrate myself. :cookieMonster:
No, don't even click "report to moderator" yet. I'm not saying I'm too cool for the internet, I'm saying that you pretty much have no room to talk due to (now read the next part, mr skimmer) the fact that I haven't reached your age yet. You're pretty much comparing a finished LEGO set to a half-built LEGO set. One is done and already going, and the other is still getting there.

I said the exact same thing to Bisjac, but mine was more skimable.

It seems to be a recurring problem with Iban, though, I had to make mine more thorough in my opinion.
Wait, stuff, I'm too high in stature to have an opinion, lol!
